Peace. What is it good for? Absolutely everything, say it again! ω
There is hardly a more valuable virtue, state of being or blessing, than Peace.
But at what cost? Accommodation? Definitely.
Appeasement? If necessary, but carefully.
Acquiescence? Surrender… Peace at all costs? No.
Pacifism can very easily turn deadly if not balanced.
Sometimes you have to take a stand. Sometimes kindness and entreating fails.
Below is a letter Mahatma Gandhi wrote while engaging in foreign affairs back in 1939.
Sometimes even the good-hearted do foolish things. Sometimes kindness is perceived as weakness, and sometimes weakness masquerades as kindness.
Sometimes peace fails.
